Mine get played with and displayed. I don't want to ruin them!
For the longest time, my dolls were just for display on a shelf. I would fix their hair and change their outfits for the seasons. I'm not sure which came first, finding this board or DH putting his keyboards in front of the shelves. Now they sit on the back of the love seat and kick DH in the back of the neck every time he sits there. I will take a doll to watch TV with in the bedroom, taken a doll with me when driving to my mom's, sit a doll on my lap when I'm on the computer at home. And, room permitting, have a doll by my sewing area (which was supposed to be the dining room but now I sew). I am currently trying to design outfits for Kitku (Asian AGOT) who is kinda Goth.
Mine are on display (4 at home in MI, 2 with me in Montreal). I change their clothes sometimes, but usually only every few weeks or so. I hope someday I'll be brave enough to take trips with them, just because I love the concept of a traveling doll and it would be fun to have pictures of one of my dolls at various locales around the world.
Well lets see they get changed with the change of the seasons that we are in. They sit in my rocking chair on display. And when I want to do somethng with them a photo shoot I guess you can say that I play with them. They are my pride and joys.

Mine are not displayed because we don't have enough space to do so. I take them out and change their outfits for birthdays and special occasions.
DD plays with Kit and Kailey and Felicity- she plays school.
Working up the nerve to take Kailey to work with me one night at the mall.
I just display them for the most part, I do change their clothes for the season and put out differant accesories with them that go with their new outfit if you consider that playing. I have Felicity and Addys scenes and settings but I just dont have the room. When I was away at school I had them out for bigger displays but now that Im home I need the ex space. However, I am redoing my room to put up more shelves and I got this really cool shelf from target that has slots in it for these little baskets but I took them out and put accesory sets in their instead and I have Felicity and Addy standing on top with Posie in between them. It looks really neat. When I finish my room and get all the shelves up I will post an album since I FINALLy figured out how to use my digital camera! Haha
I love designing dresses and then sewing them up and finally dressing each doll in their new outfit! I have so much fun dressing them!!!
Well, I display and play with my dolls. I change their outfits for different holidays and just for fun. I bring them around the house with me and I like to snuggle with a doll or two when I'm watching TV or reading. I'm trying to work up the courage to take them out of the house yet, but right now we're just sticking to the inside and being less worried about getting them messy. What can I say? I'm neurotic!
I just moved, as many of you already know. I live in a small one room apartment plus a bathroom. I put up shelves on the wall for my 12 dolls and Hallie. That was the first wall decor I put up so I could be sure I had room for all of them. All of the historic dolls have dolls of their own that they are holding. I also have all of the mini dolls but they are in storage now because I'm not quite sure where to put them. Kayla and Kyle, my bitty twins stay on my futon where they happily play while I'm gone!

I don't want anything to happen to them so I don't move them around much but I would like to do some photo shoots with them in my new neighborhood. All of my dolls, except Allison have never been played with. Allison is the doll I experiment with hair and clothing styles so she's not quite as pristine as the others. Many of the large houses around me were built in Samantha's time so I would love to take Sam out on a photo shoot around the neighborhood when I get a chance!
